Lettering for Lefties

Do you live in a Righty world? Well when it comes to lettering, you don't have to!

Thanks to Lefty lettering artist and visual practitioner Laura Lagaaij, you too can learn lettering styles using Neuland markers.

In this course you will build confidence in your lettering by:

• Learning lettering styles and techniques that will help improve your handwriting
• Exploring grips, nib angles, and hand positions to make the best letters
• Mastering the wedge and brush nib markers
• Practicing hierarchy using a variety of lettering techniques

All materials will be provided for you.
Wear comfortable shoes and dress in layers. We will alternate between standing/ working at the wall and sitting to practice writing tabletop.

Meet Laura Lagaaij!

Behind all the creativity there is an organization developer hidden. My name is Laura Lagaaij and before my adventures at iLLustratief I worked as a lean coach and manager in healthcare. My focus was on building a healthy organization and adding value for the customer. Every day I notice that you can use drawing and visualization by, for example, LEGO very well in your professional life. It not only makes it more effective, but also a lot more fun. I help organizations to visually display complex messages and I teach anyone who wants to express themselves with drawings and metaphors. Through my analytical thinking and my views on external developments, I know how to visualize the core of the story. I prefer to do that with a good dose of humor.
