As a lettering artist, I seek out the masters to teach me how to use their tools and host their online classes for calligraphers like you to learn from them too.

In addition to teaching mini-sessions on bookmaking, embossing, scripts and hands that can be found in the archives of the Make It Your Lettering Year course, Carol also offers a variety of classes here.
Mike Gold
From Layout and Design from Calligraphers and Lettering Artists, Building Structures, and The Art Breaking the Rules, Mike teaches many classes through guilds and makes BIG Fun! with the BigOne® Neuland Art marker in this fun, hands-on class.
Sharon Zeugin
Gently guiding us through the dark: illuminating, dancing, and dreaming...
Sharon also encourages us to Break the Surface and take a Deep Harvest.
I support three different calligraphy communities:
- Traditional: based on historical hands and scripts (e.g. Italic, Roman Hand, Neuland Hand)
- Contemporary: based on expressive scripts using pointed tools
- Inventive: artists using traditional tools, informed by masters they learn from and differentiate their style quickly
When the Pandemic hit, there was a steep learning curve for calligraphers to get online to learn, teach and socialize. As a result, I now offer courses from masters, train teachers how to present online, and support participants to manage their tech while learning.
